Alex Brough has held the position of Band Director at Worthington Kilbourne High School since 2015. Alex teaches the WKHS Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band and Marching Band. In addition to his high school responsibilities, Alex travels to McCord Middle School and Phoenix Middle School where he teaches 7th and 8th grade brass.

Alex previously taught 3 years in the Bexley School District and 2 years in the Whitehall City School District. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from The Ohio State University. He was a member of the university’s top ensembles including: Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble and 4 years experience in The Ohio State University Marching Band, serving 2 years as a head squad leader. Prior to graduating, Alex was the Low Brass Fellow at the Marrowstone Music Festival in Bellingham, WA where he learned from Dale Clevinger and Joseph Rodriguez of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Alex has performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and regularly performs throughout the Central Ohio area. In addition to his work in Columbus, Alex also marched 3 years in the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps and has taught the Hornline for the Scouts for the last 9 years.
